Take heart! Your spinner is not broken! We designed it so that if necessary, you can take it apart to clean the bearings and track. Properly taken care of, it will last a very long time. You’ll notice in the foam pad on the bottom there is a small hole. There may be a small piece of paper covering it. This is to indicate where the small screw is found for removal of the top ball and pin. It also sets the tension of the spinner. If repair or adjustments to tension are need, you can punch right through the paper to adjust the screw.

If the gap between the ball and bearing channel in the spinner is wide enough to pop the bearings back in, attempt to do so without removing the top ball and pin. Then, if the tension isn’t quite tight enough, you can tighten the screw ever so slightly. This will both narrow the opening for the bearings to prevent them from falling out and increase the tension. WARNING: This screw is NOT big. It’s a short little thing. Over-tightening it CAN break your spinner. Minute adjustments will make a big difference in tension.

If however, the gap is too narrow to pop the bearings in, you can unscrew the screw, remove the Top Ball & Pin, place the bearings (it would be wise to clean out the channel with a dampened cloth, making sure to let it dry completely before placing the bearings back in the channel), and place top ball and pin back in. Now, holding the top ball and pin down firmly against the bottom section in your hands will prevent the bearings from falling out while you re-attach the bottom tension screw. Here again, do NOT over tighten this screw. Minute adjustments will make big tension differences.
